Will mankind be destroyed (and become zombies) from...?

I'm sure if they are intelligent enough to create such things, they will definitely be smart enough to incorporate a fail safe shut off switch. Have you considered the thought that it might help mankind in a way never before possible. Some scientists say in as early as 30 years this technology will allow for "personal creation devices", that will be the size of a microwave or other household appliance. A person will be able to create (from scratch, atom by atom) just about anything they want. This will include all the necessities such as food and clean water (no more hungry people). I think most of the worlds problems are due to greed and something like this could lessen or eliminate it. Not to mention how all deaths due to deceases could be avoided. Why do people fear technology so much? If there is one thing the Bible accurately represents, it's the barbarism that was common in a time of ignorance and technologically stagnant.
