an embryo isnt really a type of cell. There are somatic cells that go through Mitosis, where a parent cell divides into two identical cells. Somatic cells are ALL CELLS except for -cells. -cells go through Meiosis, where one parent cell divides into 4 unique daughter cells. I do not know this last part for sure, but Somatic cells stay in interphase longer, meiosis/mitosis, there simply is no set time, it is a big variable dpending on a lot of factors. But meiosis (sec-cells/embryo) are almost constantly dividing.
